We did it in my tiny isty bisty little apartment kitchen, but it was so much fun. The vanilla pudding mixed with cool whip frosting tastes just like buttercream frosting! I really am going to miss these girls so very much!

In rainbows.
Laurie, Sara and I decided to make a rainbow cake! We followed the instructions from this site: Rainbow Cake Instructions

East of Me.
I'm naming my blog this because I am moving east and away from Grand Rapids Michigan, a place that will forever hold my heart (essentially me?) Yeah, the poetics (poeticism?) is killing you, right?
Well, Welcome. I'm not usually this corny.
This blog will now be dedicated to my move, making Syracuse NY my home, my family, and fashion.
Wish me luck!

dwell in possibility.

I love this photo. It is pictures like this that send me into a googling image frenzy that take up entirely too much time. Design blogs are another one of my down falls. It is seriously a downward spiral of pretty images and great ideas. What the bad news about blogs is, is that there are always other design blogs. They link into one another, they advertise on each other's pages, and I click on them and spend Jonas' whole nap time looking at blogs instead of showering. I rue the day I stumbled upon Design*Sponge.
Almost.
Besides taking up all of my 'self time', blogs have been making a positive mark on me and my life. I have so many great ideas that I'm trying out. I'm not good at not being creative. When I'm not being creative, I wither and die. ... Okay, that is super dramatic, but I tend to do a lot for the people I care about and not so much for me (doesn't that sound like every woman's problem... what is our deal?!) These blogs have given me the inspiration and drive I have been lacking ever since I became a wife/mother. I feel like I have adapted swimmingly to motherhood, but I've put 100% of my energy into it, without taking into consideration what I needed to maintain that happiness/drive. The last few months, I have been running on empty, and I believe bringing my old hobbies back will remedy that. I have decided to mix the two (motherhood and creating). I want to put my energy into creating things for my life as a mother/wife and for my son, Jonas. That is what I hope this blog will be, a documentation of my experiment of 'in order to bring happiness to others, you must bring happiness to yourself'
